Staff Gauge (“the desk”) processes limited personal data when a person emails [email protected] or when server logs record technical access data. The desk is operated from Brazil with email-only support and no public physical visitor address.
Data collected
- Email content and address supplied voluntarily in a message.
- Standard technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) that hosting providers may retain for security and abuse prevention.
- Cookies strictly needed for delivery when a separate authenticated product path requires them; editorial pages do not require a marketing cookie wall.
Purposes and legal bases
Messages are processed to reply to requests (legitimate interest / contract performance where a purchase exists). Logs support security and integrity (legitimate interest). Where consent is required for a non-essential cookie, consent is requested before that cookie is set.
Retention
Support email is retained as long as needed to complete the request and for a limited archive period for dispute handling. Logs follow the hosting provider’s retention schedule unless a longer period is required by law.
Sharing
Processors such as email and hosting providers may process data on behalf of the desk. Data may be transferred internationally when those processors operate outside Brazil; safeguards appropriate to LGPD and GDPR framing are expected from processors.
Rights
Depending on applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection, and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (including ANPD in Brazil). Requests: [email protected].
